My name is AMITAI GIVERTZ. I am responsible for this site and the BROWN BAG RECRUITER initiative. It is a labor of love, supported by sponsors and special friends who “get it.”
Our goal is to provide a high-quality, community-based training program at virtually no cost. We also aim to create a cadre of recruiters physically located in the South Florida metro area, sharing the resources here with anyone who has an interest, regardless of where they are.
BROWN BAG RECRUITER is a training experience, an experiment, and a work in progress. It is meant to meet the needs of local recruiters who want to learn new things, meet new friends and improve their overall effectiveness.
Why “BROWN BAG RECRUITER?”
The first program of online training was made up of several 20-minute lunchtime “webinar snacks.” The midday timing and easily digested format led to our naming the project as we did.
Our objectives are simple
- Help corporate and agency recruiters develop at a pace that is consistent with their interests, schedules and budget.
- Give committed participants an advantage. That includes a systematic approach to getting the job done and access to the tools and techniques practiced by recruiters who are at the top of their game.
- Support local businesses that want to improve their ability to find, attract, hire and grow good people and are willing to do something about it.
- Facilitate meaningful and profitable relationships for every one who is involved in the network we are creating.
