<p>The headaches are no less excruciating when one attempts to integrate <a title="Web applications that increase productivity...really?" href="http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en-GB/business/index.html" target="_blank">Google&#8217;s core applications</a> to replace basic pay-to-play recruiting tools and services. <a title="Simplify Life. <h3>Workshop Schedule</h3>
<p>Each session is intended to be an easy-to-digest overview.  The goal is to provide a core reference for self-paced study and implementation.  As such, each topic is individually supported with additional materials and online updates.</p>
<p>Combined the program provides a substantial reference and resource for applying Google&#8217;s products and services to replace conventional recruiting software and applications.</p>

<li>The first three sessions run concurrently on Tuesday, September 27  and wraps up on Thursday, September 29 starting at 12:30PM ET / 9:30AM PT on each day.</li>

<p>This 90-minute webinar is an introduction for the &#8220;uninitiated&#8221; to the basics of searching for leads and resumes using Google, and a refresher for more experienced recruiters who want to learn new things. The session will be especially helpful for those who are registering for other BROWN BAG RECRUITER workshops<strong> </strong> who are either unfamiliar with basic search syntax or want to update their skills and technique. Session goals include:</p>

<li>Share the basics of Boolean search. You will see how simple search queries are constructed and how they can be used to find resumes and other leads available on the web but otherwise hard to find.</li>
<li>Focus on finding hard-to-find talent with an emphasis on identifying diversity candidates. The techniques can be applied to any skill set and/or location.</li>
<li>Provide access to additional free resources including cheat sheets, self-paced study guides, tutorials, videos and research</li>

<p>The proliferation of sites that can be used for sourcing, driving candidate flow, employer branding and community-building create a feeling of being in a constant state of flux. As a result,  many employers believe the social side of the internet recruiting is impractical for their needs.</p>
<p>Making matters worse, recruiters often feel bewildered and left behind by the constant hype about social recruiting.  They often overlook the fact that they can take advantage of the latest networks and sites without having to &#8220;friend,&#8221; &#8220;poke,&#8221; &#8220;tweet&#8221; or &#8220;like&#8221; anyone.</p>
<p>This series of workshop tackles this type of issue and more. It presents easy to understand alternatives to being &#8220;engaged&#8221; suggesting that using the social does not have to be involved and time consuming.</p>

<li><a href="http://brownbagrecruiter.com/guerrilla-recruiting-tactics-for-gaming-linkedin/"><strong>Day 2: Guerrilla Recruiting: Tactics for &#8220;Gaming LinkedIn&#8221;</strong></a> » The evolution of LinkedIn as a recruiting tool presents both opportunities and problems. This session presents tools and techniques for recruiters who are concerned only with optimum results with minimal participation on LinkedIn itself.</li>
<li><strong><a href="http://brownbagrecruiter.com/retooling-twitter-for-anti-social-recruiters/">Day 3: Retooling Twitter for &#8220;Anti-Social Recruiters&#8221;</a> </strong>» Practical examples are shown that illustrate how easy it can be to find and engage candidates. See how to leverage social media/networks without having to evaluate, or even understand how each of possibly hundreds of sites and applications stack up.</li>
